Bux Royale is a multiplayer strategy game that blends tower defense and real-time combat. The objective is to destroy the opponent's King Tower to secure an instant victory or earn more crowns than the opponent by destroying their Princess Towers and King Tower before the match timer ends. Players build a deck of cards representing units, spells, or buildings, each with unique abilities, and use these cards strategically during battles. Matches are played on a divided game board with a King Tower and two Princess Towers on each side. Players deploy their units in designated summoning areas, which expand as they destroy opponent towers.
Buxcore, a regenerating resource, is required to play cards, making efficient resource management essential. Once deployed, units automatically move toward the opponent’s side, engaging in combat and targeting towers or enemy units along the way. The battlefield features pathways, bridges, and obstacles that players can exploit for tactical advantages. Victory is achieved by either destroying the King Tower or having more crowns when the match ends. Success in Bux Royale requires balancing offensive pushes, solid defenses, and adaptability to counter the opponent’s strategies effectively.
Victory is achieved by destroying more Crown Towers (Princess or King Towers) than the opponent within the time limit. Destroying the King Tower results in an automatic win, while a rare simultaneous destruction leads to a draw. Matches last three minutes, extending into sudden death overtime if no clear winner emerges, where the first tower destroyed determines the victor. In cases of complete equality, a tie-breaker rapidly depletes tower health until one is destroyed, deciding the winner based on crown counts. Rewards for winning include rank points, gold, tokens, and champion fragments, while ties refund tokens minus a 10% fee.
Bux Royale features a tower system comprising the King Tower and two Princess Towers, which are crucial to gameplay in battle mode. The King Tower is positioned centrally at the back of each player’s side of the arena and serves as the most critical structure. Destroying the King Tower results in an immediate loss for the opposing player, regardless of the state of the Princess Towers. Initially idle, the King Tower activates its powerful black cannon when attacked or when a Princess Tower is destroyed, targeting air and ground units within its range.
Each player also has two Princess Towers flanking the King Tower. Destroying an opponent’s Princess Tower grants a Crown and expands the player’s summoning area on the opponent’s side of the river, providing a tactical advantage. Both towers prioritize the nearest enemy troop or building within their range, waiting passively if no targets are available. Together, the King Tower and Princess Towers create a dynamic and strategic focal point for defense and offense during matches.
The Battle Deck system in Bux Royale is designed to facilitate strategic troop selection and deployment during battles. Players have a Card Tray located at the bottom of the screen, displaying four active cards and one "Next" card, each showing its troop avatar, Buxcore cost, and readiness state. At the start of a match, cards are randomly drawn from the player's deck to fill the active slots, with the "Next" card available after a short cooldown. Players manage their cards by deploying troops strategically on the game board, selecting cards through clicks or keyboard shortcuts, and placing troops in allowable areas.
Each card's availability depends on the player's current Buxcore, which regenerates over time. Deploying a troop involves a two-stage process: a Spawn Stage, where the troop remains invisible and invulnerable, followed by a Load Stage, during which the troop becomes visible but inactive. Once the deployment process completes, the troop begins to move and attack. Proper management of the Battle Deck, cooldowns, and Buxcore is essential for effective gameplay and gaining an edge over opponents.
In Bux Royale, all 34 heroes are represented as collectible cards that you can obtain through mystery boxes or by unlocking them through in-game content. Each card has its own unique characteristics, making it suitable for different play styles and strategies.
Each hero has a Sight Range to detect enemies and an Attack Range where they initiate combat. Once a target is eliminated, the hero identifies the nearest enemy within its Sight Range and resumes attacking. Movement logic varies by unit type: ground troops follow the shortest path along designated roads, while air units move directly to their targets. Units can target air, ground, or both, with some specializing in buildings. Heroes prioritize targets within their Sight Range, defaulting to towers if no enemies are present.

The BuxCore is the primary energy resource in Bux Royale that players use to summon troops and construct buildings during battles. The BuxCore Bar is divided into 10 segments, each representing a unit of BuxCore, with a maximum of 10 units. Players begin with 5 BuxCore and gradually gain more throughout the battle, with an increased production rate after 2 minutes. During the Double BuxCore phase, the rate doubles, and in the final minute of Overtime, the rate triples. The bar displays the energy required for each card deployed, and when full, visual effects prompt the player to use their cards.
The Matchmaking System in Bux Royale is designed to ensure fairness, minimize wait times, and promote competition. The system considers various factors to create balanced matches, including ping, arena levels, trophy rankings, card levels, and win rates. Players choose between two betting modes (Gold or PBUX) and select their bet amount before searching for a match. The system categorizes players by ping and matches them with others in similar categories.

The Weekly Leaderboard encourages competition by displaying player rankings based on trophies earned weekly. It is accessed from the Main Screen, showing a trophy icon and player details. The leaderboard would reset on every Tuesday, with rewards for the top 10 players from all arenas. Every player from all arenas shares the same leaderboard rankings. The Rankings are based on trophies earned, with ties broken by who earned them first & reset the progress every Tuesday, 07:00 UTC. Players are assigned to the appropriate arena based on their level with the LIFETIME trophy.
